Re: [xwiki-users] XAppSheets, XAppClasses, XAppTemplates now appear in the spaces list. Why?
Would it hurt anything if I move those pages to the XWiki space so that I could delete the XAppSheets, XAppClasses, and XAppTemplates spaces? Also, what is the difference between XEM and Wiki Manager? ============================= Richard Terry 8^) <--- Smiley with Glasses http://twitter.com/braveterry ----- Original Message ---- From: Thomas Mortagne <[email protected]> To: XWiki Users <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, July 3, 2008 6:09:04 AM Subject: Re: [xwiki-users] XAppSheets, XAppClasses, XAppTemplates now appear in the spaces list. I haven't changed anything at the application level. It's possible one of the other wiki users did something that led to the creation of these pages and spaces.
Do you know what those pages are for? Should just delete them?
These pages are used by ApplicationManager, WikiManager and XEM.

Why did these spaces and pages appear, and how can I safely remove them from the menu? Can I just remove the pages from the spaces?
Thanks!

Moving pages to XWiki space is exactly the same thing than delete them as classes are used by their full name. As I said, only Application Manager, Wiki Manager and XEM use theses pages so if you don't have any of this you can safely remove this I think, otherwise no (anyway Application Manager will recreate it when you restart). By the way theses pages has always been used by these 3 product so if you have it I doubt it appear suddenly.
Also, what is the difference between XEM and Wiki Manager?
XEM is just the name of the product containing : XE product+WikiManager plugin+ApplicationManager plugin+some other information/installation pages.

Hi there, I agree that these pages should be located in the XWiki space which is our space for all "admin"/"code" pages. In the future we should have hierarchical spaces and these could be moved as subspaces in the XWiki space for example. I personally don't like that apps create new spaces since: 1) they make it harder to secure a wiki (since you have to secure each space) 2) they make it hard on users since they won't understand what these spaces do Thanks -Vincent On Jul 9, 2008, at 10:38 AM, Thomas Mortagne wrote:
