[xwiki-users] Unable to Create a XWiki Connection using XEclipse plug in
Hi I am trying to integrate with XEclipse with My standalone Eclipse version 3.1. I unzipped XEclipse 1.1 to the plugins directory of Eclipse and was able to see the XWiki entry in File>new >Other.. however when i try to click on New Connection under XWiki in eclipse new wizard nothing happens. I tried the same with Eclipse Europa but in it i get an error saying Plug-in org.xwiki.eclipse was unable to load class org.xwiki.eclipse.wizards.NewConnectionWizard. This makes sense as i read in some of the forum posts that Eclipse 3.2 level is supported. However i still can't understand as to why i can't create a XWiki connection with Eclipse 3.1 Thanks and Regards Rajat bhatnagar http://guideofgreatness.googlepages.com -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Unable-to-Create-a-XWiki-Connection-using-XEclipse-plu... I think XEclipse depends on Eclipse 3.3 and more

Where do you try to connect ? I remember that on some computers even with the same configuration I was unable to connect to online site but it worked in localhost and on some other computer it worked in any condition...

I am trying to connect to the standalone distribution of XWiki deployed on my local machine. The Eclipse installation is on the same machine. All the environment variables from java perspective have been set and XWiki starts fine by the XWiki Enterprise\start_xwiki.bat script. The only change that i have done is that i chnaged the Port from 8080 to 8111. -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Unable-to-Create-a-XWiki-Connection-using-XEclipse-plu... I think that this is a problem that happens before the actual connection... Since Eclipse is not able to load the NewConnectionWizard class, then the user cannot even type the URL to connect to. Could you please post the complete stacktrace, list of active plugins etc. so that I can try to figure out where the problem is? Thanks. Cheers, Fabio
