Cannot find Import
I originally installed xwiki version 0.9.840, which is still displayed as the version in the window. Now I am trying to upgrade to xwiki b2 but cannot find the Import tab. Do I need to upgrade anything. I thought it was automatic. Thanks Martin -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Cannot-find-Import-tf2959068.html#a8278056 Sent from the XWiki- Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Have you read the release notes? There are explanations in there. Let us know if anything is not clear as we're very interested in making XWiki's installation as easy as possible. Thanks -Vincent
Thanks

Hi Vincent, I have read the release notes several times and the only part I have a problem with is importing. I cannot seem to get to an Import screen anywhere on my xwiki installation. I have attached a screen print of what I can see in another reply to this thread. Thanks Martin vmassol wrote:

Martin, The Imports option is under the Administration panel (see this under the "log out" link in the top right hand corner). The link would be something like (assuming port 8080 and using localhost): http://localhost:8080/xwiki/bin/import/XWiki/Import?editor=import&space= XWiki -----Original Message----- From: mjdenham [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 11 January 2007 15:34 To: [email protected] Subject: [xwiki-users] Cannot find Import I originally installed xwiki version 0.9.840, which is still displayed as the version in the window. Thanks for the help, but it looks like there is something unusual about my xwiki installation. I do not have an Administration panel under the "log out" link in the top right hand corner. I log in as XWiki Admin and access admin menus by clicking on the purple Admin square in the row of purple squares at the top left. I have taken a http://www.nabble.com/file/5603/xwiki.GIF screen print here of what I see after clicking Admin and hovering over More Actions. Could you have a look and tell me if I am going crazy? You're crazy dude.. ;) Actually, what's up here is that you're still using the 0.9.840 build One thing just to check, when you upgrade, are you removing the old xwiki folder from tomcat and then placing the new xwiki.war file, or just placing the WAR file into tomcat? -----Original Message----- From: mjdenham [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: 12 January 2007 10:23 To: [email protected] Subject: [xwiki-users] RE: Cannot find Import Thanks for the help, but it looks like there is something unusual about my xwiki installation. Thanks Brandon! Too many versions of Tomcat on one machine - somebody had set CATALINA_HOME which redirected tomcat startup to an old install. I'll try again. On 1/12/07, Esbach, Brandon <[email protected]> wrote:

Sorry, the query was a bit confusing. Let me clarify. I originally had xwiki 0.9.840 installed. Then I upgraded the war to a pre beta release - possibly version 0.9.1029 which you made available at xwiki.org. Now I have upgraded the war to beta2 and am attempting to install the skin and panels, but cannot find Import. The url in the release notes (http://localhost:8080/xwiki/bin/admin/XWiki/XWikiPreferences) does not exist. The closest url I have is http://xwikiserver:8080/xwiki/bin/edit/XWiki/XWikiPreferences?xpage=editpref... which I get to by logging in as admin, clicking Admin, More Actions, XWiki Preferences. But there is no Import or Export option. Thanks Martin mjdenham wrote:

Hi Vincent, Sorry, I didn't receive your answer. Possibly because I originally registered indirectly via Nabble. Could you send it again? Thanks Martin On 1/11/07, Vincent Massol <[email protected]> wrote:
