Ok. I found the info, it actually was on the Contribute page... I'll see if I get problems.
Hi, I created a JIRA issue on this: http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XE-149 and uploaded a new translation as an attachment. Please tell me if the file format is alright as I didn't really know what to do with non-ASCII characters. I also proposed to allow various Spanish translations as every country has it's own language forms. William

Hi Vincent, I'm currently using XWiki 1.1.2, the latest stable version. I used the windows installer. I cannot locate the translation files. Is 1.1.2 differing from 1.2 at this level? Are those files from trunk useful to me or should I modify some other in 1.1.2? Thx William

When you make a patch you should always make it against the latest version from trunk. FYI the translation files end up inside the WEB-INF/lib/xwiki-core- *.jar file. Thanks -Vincent

The patch was made with latest trunk, I just want to know if in this case it will be backwards compatible or not. I'll check the jar and try to update it. I just uploaded a new version converted to US-ASCII character set. William
I am seeing that there is a lot (lot!) more to translate than what there was in the Spanish translation. I need more information on encoding formats before I go on. I switched to Eclipse to edit the file. I set up the editor to UTF-8 encoding (Using the menu Edit > Set Encoding...). Will the output file be alright?
