That class no longer exists in xwiki-commons-tool-test-simple (which now ships the CaptureConsoleExtension JUnit 5 extension, auto-registered through the service loader). Surefire 3.6.0 instantiates that listener, so every test execution failed with a ClassNotFoundException before running any test, while Surefire 3.5.6 silently ignored it. * Use the "systemPropertyVariables" configuration element instead of the deprecated "systemProperties" one for the xwiki.surefire.captureconsole.skip property, as done in xwiki-platform's pom (map entries are merged with the parent configuration, so combine.children="append" is not needed). * Explain why the Surefire plugin needs the xwiki-commons-tool-test-simple dependency, since the removed listener was the only visible reason for it.
