That is what happened to this very branch: it bumped 1.1.1 -> 1.1.2, #68 merged 1.1.2 to master first, and the bump became a no-op that would have merged without conflict and shipped to nobody, since Claude Code pulls a plugin only when its version increases. * `scripts/validate.mjs` — new invariant 6: when the branch changes anything under `xwiki/` (the shipped surface), the version must be strictly greater than the base branch's. The base is `GITHUB_BASE_REF` on a PR and `origin/master` otherwise; the diff runs base -> working tree, so the miss is caught before the change is even committed. Skipped with a note, not failed, when the base ref is not fetched, so a shallow clone still gets the other invariants. * `.github/workflows/validate.yml` — `fetch-depth: 0`, since a depth-1 checkout has no base branch to compare against. * `CLAUDE.md`, `skills/xwiki-knowledge/SKILL.md` — say that the validator now checks the increase, not only the sync.
