The widget opens the suggestions again on its own whenever a suggestion request completes while the input still has the focus, so Escape left the panel free to re-appear right after it was closed: either while the test was still waiting for it to go away, or once the test had moved on and the panel then covered the button it wanted to click. An unfocused widget closes the panel and ignores the responses that come back afterwards. * Make waitForSuggestionsClearance() look at the widget container's own class, which is where the dropdown-active class is set. The CSS selector it used could only ever match a descendant of the container, so the wait returned immediately whatever the state of the panel.
