I think the brand should be used in relation to components that are distinctive. So for instance I would just call a skin a 'Skin' since it is a common and well understood feature in many systems. Scriplet is also common but maybe less so in wiki technology so maybe we could start using the brand here with XWikiScriplet. My favorite for an application is XWikiApp. On 9/3/05, Ludovic Dubost <[email protected]> wrote:
Hi,
I'd like to find a nice name for the spaces for three things on XWiki.org. These are:
1/ Skins 2/ Small sample scripts, macros, or use of radeox tags 3/ XWiki Applications
I was thinking of:
For 1/ Skins, Themes, XSkins For 2/ Scriptlets, Snipplets, Sniplets, XScripts, XMacros, XSnips, Xlets, XWikilets, Wikilets, WikiScripts, XWikiScripts, XSamples For 3/ XWiki Applications, XApps
It terms of branding the usage of X could be a cool way to brand things. So the combination: XSkins, XScripts, XApps could be nice..
Any other ideas ? or votes ?
