Retrieve data for multiple select

Hello, How can I make a query to retrieve data if the user has chosen "Multiple Select"? Until now I only made queries using StringProperty, but Sergiu told me that with multiple select, data are kept on separate rows, so I tried StringListProperty and ListProperty but with no success. Anyone, an ideea, please? Thank you.
