Hi all,
Please, why Novell LDAP classes for Java ldap.jar has been renamed as ldap-UNKNONW.jar in XWiki distributions?
Simply because when I renamed all jars to follow the maven naming conventions I wasn't able to find the version we're using of that JAR.
I think this information is still lacking in the jar. I've been following the development of Novell ldap classes long time ago and I don't remember ever having had information about the release, just the delivery date.
May I propose to rename it to include the release date and the "origin"? For the updated ldap.jar available at http://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/Jldap it could be ldap-novell-20071012.jar.
Yes definitely. Do you think you could create a jira issue for updating the JAR and attach that jar to the issue (provided the license is still ok to be redistributed in a LGPL software)?
Of course. I'll do that as soon as I understand what this fancy-very-small-font-size sentence appearing in the Novell LDAP Classes for Java page means! "Your use of these files is subject to the Novell Developer License Agreement <http://developer.novell.com/wiki/index.php/Novell_Developer_License_Agreement> unless different license terms accompany the file itself, in which case those terms govern."
I've noted that there is another jar with this syntax, googleapi-UNKNOWN-xwiki.jar. And that other includes what it also seems a date as proposed for ldap.jar, swizzle-confluence-1.1-20070908- xwiki.jar.
Same as above.
Thanks -Vincent
Let me put this googleapi item in second position! Looking to forward to contributing to this great XWiki thing, Ricardo -- Ricardo RodrÃguez Your XEN ICT Team
