Actually the problem I have with Subclipse is not even at connection time: I just cannot open the SVN Perspective as it raises an Eclipse exception using Eclipse 3.1.0 build I20050219-1500 with Sun JDK 1.5 on Mandriva Linux 2005. Is anyone here running Subclipse successfully using Eclipse on Linux? Stéphane Vincent Massol wrote:
For Subclipe you need to read http://tmate.org/svn/subclipse.html very closely (especially the part about " User name for ssh connection will be taken from SVN Repository properties that may be altered in Subclipse SVN Repositories view.").
It should work fine.

Thanks for the hint! It's working fine indeed on Linux, whereas Subclipse isn't, at least in my case.
