XWiki has applied to GSoC 2016! Right now we have 4 mentors and 11 proposals. The 2016 Mentor Organizations will be announced on February 29, 2016. Thanks everybody for the help so far and let's hope we get accepted! -Eduard On Mon, Feb 15, 2016 at 1:21 PM, Eduard Moraru <[email protected]> wrote:
Right now we have 3 available mentors (Thomas, Paul and myself) and 8 proposed projects (6 by Thomas alone! :) ).
More proposals and mentors are welcomed!
P.S.: When proposing a project, please try to be as explicit/detailed as possible. It will help both the student reading the proposal and the GSoC org application reviewer :)
Thanks, Eduard

Reminder, to be able to add a new project you need to be logged in first on xwiki.org.
Also, you have the option of reviving a project that was proposed but not selected in the previous years. To do that, just navigate to the previous years [1], find the proposal you like and know about, go to its proposal page (click it) and press the "Clone to this year" link. Now you can assign yourself as lead for that project and update it's description if needed.

Since time is ticking, I propose that the people that are interested in mentoring this year already start filling in new/resurrected proposals at http://gsoc.xwiki.org
If we get enough proposals by Tuesday, we can try to apply.
We need a batch of good proposals and... say... at least a handful of mentors.
Let`s get creative! :)
Thanks, Eduard
