at XWiki.getPrefsClass and then add it in adminprefs.vm?
But where are they initialized with default values?

It seems XWiki.sendMessage is deprecated, true, but still in use.
Are there any plans to actually connect MailSenderPlugin any time soon?
Adding authing in MailSenderPlugin would be trivial. Hacking it into current version of XWiki.sendMessage, well, that'd be less trivial.
Any suggestions on what to do? I need it more or less working in about two weeks.
