Not sure I understand what you mean. Translation on github are updated only during release process. What's automatically refreshed is keys on http://l10n.xwki.org coming from the default translation (i.e. what is in https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/blob/master/xwiki-platform-core/xwik...).

Looks like reloading http://l10n.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Platform/XWikiCoreResources worked well so I guess that means http://l10n.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Scheduler/L10NUpdater crashed somewhere before refreshing that resource. I added some bulletproofing.
