Great, So now that all seems fixed and vote is ok, lets start the release today. On Fri, May 9, 2008 at 3:05 AM, Sergiu Dumitriu <[email protected]> wrote:
Fixed, it seems that the velocity context was shared between the two XWikiContext objects, and at some point during in-template getRenderedContent the Lucene-thread's xcontext was pulled from the vcontext as the rendering thread's xcontext. So I'm +1 for making the release.

I still can't understand what's the problem with the Lucene plugin... I guess we can release the RC anytime, as the problem appears only when clicking twice on the Rebuild index link, which is not something critical, and there's no data loss. And the plugin is now out of the core, so it can be released separately without requiring a new RC (unless the bug is in the core).

I pinged Thomas yesterday with my +1 since I've committed my fix yesterday.
We really need to release ASAP now.
Thanks -Vincent

-1 from me too, as I' still trying to make Lucene work without throwing exceptions.

-1 right now. I sent an email yesterday. There's a bug that makes XE fail when you have a custom skin with a macros.vm field (which is the case for xwiki.org right now).
I'm working on this albeit slowly.
Thanks -Vincent

hi,
I'd like to release XE 1.4RC1 tomorrow. It's the first (and hopping the last) release candidate before XE 1.4 final.
See http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/ReleaseNotesXWikiEnterprise14RC1
for details on changes.
Here is my +1
