Hi, +1 from my side too. In this case I think it should not be just a day, but the whole week-end. Could be just like we had before: the 'first' week-end of the month. The participation might be low, but at least we could have it as a 'rule'. If we have results over that week-end, we publish a blog post about them. Just as an idea, we could also monitor translations, extensions, pull requests, etc. submitted over that week-end, so make it not just a BugFixingDay but a "Contributions Week-end". I know it might sound strange for an Open Source project (because contributions should happen every day), but this means just that those contributions would be monitored and published in a blog post, thanking our contributors and allowing them to organize on IRC. Hi,
The problem is pretty obvious IMO and it would be nice to experiment a few events during weekends and observe the participation. Who knows, maybe we will be pleasantly surprised :)
+1 from my side.
Thanks, Eduard

Hi,
Congratulations indeed, it's great to see bugs disappear. Just a thought: have you considered scheduling some bug fixing days during weekends (e.g. one or two every month)? In my opinion, it would make it a lot easier for casual contributors to participate and help turn the graph green.
Are you suggesting that you may participate (with Sergiu?) if some BFD were done over week ends? :)
I am indeed suggesting this as a solution for the incompatibility between my wish to participate in some of these community events and my other responsibilities which usually prevent me from doing so in those particular days. My guess is that other contributors with jobs outside XWiki SAS may be in the same situation. All I'm saying is: help us help you.
Thanks -Vincent
Thanks, Marta
