I’m not sure this is the best place because it’s very technical. I’m not sure how a user can understand that "WikiStream Confluence XML module” means “Confluence Importer” :) Also, looking at the name it doesn’t seem to be a Confluence Importer but instead it seems to be some specific Confluence XML format for importing. Maybe what we need is a Confluence Importer Application that uses the "WikiStream Confluence XML module” and provides a specific UI. At least that would solve 2 needs: - simpler to use (I may be wrong as I haven’t tried using the generic wikistream importer UI yet but since it’s generic and not specific to Confluence I’m guess is has to be more complex than a specialized UI) - provides a nicer documentation entry point If we don’t do this then we probably need a page in http://enterprise.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/Features called “Confluence Importer” that explains that to import Confluence you need to use the Wiki Stream importer UI in a certain way. WDYT? Thanks -Vincent

Hi Thomas,
I wanted to point someone to our documentation for the new Confluence importer but I couldn’t find documentation for it.
All I’ve found was http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/XWiki+Platform+-+Wiki+S... which is too technical and doesn’t contain much information.
I think we need a user-friendly documentation for the Confluence importer that appears in the XE feature list on http://enterprise.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/Features
Also we should comment on http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Convert+Confluence+to+X... to add an {{info}} message to explain there’s now a better way, no?
WDYT?
Thanks -Vincent
