I think there should be a administration configuration panel with a long list of plugins or apps that can get included or excluded at the click of a button, with most excluded by default in XE -- calendar on/off -- photo on/off -- watch on/off -- office importer on/off -- wiki manager on/off -- space manager on/off -- social networking feature on/off etc. Niels http://nielsmayer.com PS: I applaud the current attempt at rationalizing the product offering by reducuing the number of overlapping platforms. I personally think it should be further rationalized by having only one distribution -- XE -- but using a feature like the aforementioned options panel to automatically download and deploy extra options at runtime, perhaps using existing maven mechanisms to assure compatibility between the installed version of XE core and the add-on apps and panels. IMO, we should remove only the PhotoAlbum, in case the Calendar doesn't have major bugs.

Hi,
I suggest that we remove Calendar and PhotoAlbum applications from XE default wiki.
Rationale:
- PhotoAlbum is almost unusable with HQ photos (basically any pic taken with a digital camera) because of XE attachment management known bugs. - In their current state those applications doesn't meet XEs quality requirements: test coverage, usability, performance (PhotoAlbum). - Those 2 applications are orphan projects (no active project leaders), btw anyone whishing to care of them is welcome.
Here's my +1.
