Hi devs,
The 7.2M2 release was planned for today but with the holidays, we’re a bit late on the planning.
Specifically here’s our status for M2:
* the new breadcrumb based on references (VI3, VI5) - done
ok
* the new script permission done right - done (I’m testing it this morning)
ok (I’ve tested it)
* the updated document tree to support Nested Spaces (MA1, MA2) - Marius should finish today
ok (I’ve tested it) (the search wasn’t working, need to test that, Marius just committed a change for that)
The tree finder should work fine now for nested documents. The main search page should give you the right results for nested spaces but the display and the links are wrong. This will be handled in 7.2M3 (XWIKI-12175).
* plugging the new script services done in 7.2M1 for the move/update/delete features (but with the same UI for now) (UP1, DE1, MO1-4) - Marius to do it before Wednesday
Not done yet
* update the import UI to use a document tree (IE1-3) - to be done by Thomas
ok (haven’t tested yet)
* agree on the various proposals - Caty did some summary mails - @All please verify you’ve replied
Not done yet but not blocking release.
* stabilize the CI build - to be done
Not ok, still lots of failing tests to fix. I’m working on fixing CreatePageTest but it’s taking time since I wanted to move it to platform too and this is leading to several complications (but I’m almost done). Other tests need to be fixed WRT the new breadcrumb.
So I propose to delay the 7.2M2 release to this Wednesday.
I have the feeling that we’re going to be late again.
@Marius: how much time do you need to finish plugging the new script services done in 7.2M1 for the move/update/delete features?
I still need a few hours. I got delayed by making the WYSIWYG editor use the nested document tree (some part of the editor code was expecting the old document index tree: parent/child mixed with space grouping). My plan is to stop the dev today (ASAP) and start looking at the failing tests so that we can release tomorrow. Thanks, Marius
