I have the captcha turned on and a setting in xwiki.properties will turn it off. Should this be reversed? A. On by default B. Off by default My +1 is for A because I like showing off my captchas to everyone. Caleb

:) +1 for B since XE is for enterprise usages and most enterprise usages happen internally (not meant for public consumption) and thus the main usage will be to have captcha on. Thus better make it the default. Thanks -Vincent

+1 for B since XE is for enterprise usages and most enterprise usages happen internally (not meant for public consumption) and thus the main usage will be to have captcha on. Thus better make it the default.

Actually that's a -1 for A: there are already the rights which control access to various actions, so captcha on top of the rights is only useful when XWikiGuest has these rights and you have doubts about your guests. Happy hacking, Anca

there are already the rights which control access to various actions, so captcha on top of the rights is only useful when XWikiGuest has these rights and you have doubts about your guests.

Most import is that it should be easy to enable/disable. Then you will have people using it (there was people using it even with the old hard to use and buggy plugin). +1 for B
