What does this include?
- installer including default template wiki
I guess you'll need some help with setting this up as part of the build, right? Is the default wiki template XWiki Enterprise (XE)?
- 1.0 M2 : 2007-10-01 - basic statistics (just some informations in text)
Could we also get you to do this for XE? We have a jira issue for this: http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XE-37
- user management based on new rights management system
Any reference to this new rights management system? Is it somewhere on xwiki.org? If not could you please put it there and/or send some email about it? If we move to a new rights management system, then I guess this needs to be implemented first for XE, no?
(http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XE-99) - 1.0 M3 : 2007-10-08 - advanced statistics (with graphical schemes) - 1.0 M4 : 2007-10-22 - dashboard
What is the "dashboard"?
- multi-wiki search based on Lucent
We'll need to finish it for XE too as it's not fully finished. See http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XE-97
- 1,0 RC1 : 2007-10-29 - 1,0 RC2 – Final : 2007-11-05
WDYT ?
Sounds good to me. What's important is to get started with XEM release and do them regularly (say every 2 or 3 weeks). It would be nice to use time boxing as much as possible (i.e. try to keep release dates and instead remove content if all the planned work isn't finished). To do this you need a fully working build and only commit things that work and by small packets. I hope we can find some contributors to XEM soon to help you with all this cool stuff! :) Thanks -Vincent _______________________________________________ devs mailing list [email protected] http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/devs
Yes sorry I did not write lots of details as most of it is in Jira project. See below. 2007/9/4, Vincent Massol <[email protected]>:

What does this include?
- create wiki (empty, from xar, from wiki template) - delete wiki - modify wiki (status, is it template, etc.) - list wikis
- installer including default template wiki
I guess you'll need some help with setting this up as part of the build, right?
Yes I need help :) Mostly about what I exposed on an other thread (http://www.nabble.com/-XEM--Automatic-installation-tf4376707.html)
Is the default wiki template XWiki Enterprise (XE)?
Yes for this release it will be directly XE but with some template related informations (pages to include in place of copy).
- 1.0 M2 : 2007-10-01 - basic statistics (just some informations in text)
Could we also get you to do this for XE? We have a jira issue for this: http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XE-37
Yes it is related to a XEM task http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XEM-10.
- user management based on new rights management system
Any reference to this new rights management system? Is it somewhere on xwiki.org? If not could you please put it there and/or send some email about it?
You are right I just configured Jira about it, I will make wiki page on xwiki.org about it.
If we move to a new rights management system, then I guess this needs to be implemented first for XE, no?
Yes it is mostly a XE task with very few work in XEM.
(http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XE-99) - 1.0 M3 : 2007-10-08 - advanced statistics (with graphical schemes) - 1.0 M4 : 2007-10-22 - dashboard
What is the "dashboard"?
Dashboard is user related informations like "what's new on your pages", "what's new on your wikis", etc.
- multi-wiki search based on Lucent
We'll need to finish it for XE too as it's not fully finished. See http://jira.xwiki.org/jira/browse/XE-97
Yes I set XEM task depend on that XE task.

As you see XEM is very linked with XE and lots of this new feature are mostly new XE features needed by XEM. -- Thomas Mortagne _______________________________________________ devs mailing list [email protected] http://lists.xwiki.org/mailman/listinfo/devs

I've seen you created http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Idea/ Improverightsmanagement?language=en That's cool but all the information like screenshots/etc seem to be on the http://xpertnet.chronopolys.net/x site which seems a closed site. I think we have 2 options: 1) we make it public so that anyone can view it at least 2) we move some of its content (or all) to xwiki.org and/or add screenshots to the JIRA issue I think that all the designs that are done for XE, XEM, Watch, etc must be done in the open with the community. If they're done behind closed doors then the community can only participate after they're finished which 1) doesn't allow the community to participate but more importantly 2) the community will likely not participate since they've not been involved from the beginning and will have to catch up with all the designs/code/etc. It really must be done in the open IMO, as we're doing for XE. I'm agree with you that all this design has to be open. I just forgot that xpertnet.chronopolys.net is not public :) I moved all on xwiki.org idea page. http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Idea/Improverightsmanagement 2007/9/5, Vincent Massol <[email protected]>:
