Even though they won’t appear in the Day’s BFD results, they will appear on the global BFD stats, for example check the bottom of http://jira.xwiki.org/secure/Dashboard.jspa?selectPageId=10352 Any other ideas? Yes there is no reason you don't have the right to close issues on contrib project where you have commit right. Checking the right of this project.

You get a mail for a commit too and you can review and comment it the same way. Not sure of that. At least, I don't receive mail for any commit on xwiki-contrib (and I'm glad of that!). Moreover, if the comment is about discussing the solution, this is already too late, the commit is done (yes, of course you could revert it but I don't know if this is the more convenient solution). Anyway, this is just one way of doing things and if it doesn't bother people (tell me if it does), I'll probably keep it for now.

You get mail when you follow the project. Now you do whatever you want, I don't see why it would bother people, you are the only one that would get limitations and extra work in that process ;)
