Manuel Smeria (from the XWiki crew) provided the answer to my question I posted (thanks) and I thought I would pass it on to other newbies like me. Also I would be happy to add this to the documentation (FAQ) somewhere if folks think it is appropriate--just tell me where. I did post the response to the one reference I mentioned below: http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/FAQ/Howtodisablecommentsandattachments While I could not find my answer in the documentation, it might have simply been due to my perspective of the problem, i.e. looking at this from a comments management, rather than a rights management, perspective. Or, maybe I am just an idiot and the answer is out there and I couldn't figure it out. Either way as I am probably not the only clueless person, I'd thought I'd share. Hello Patrick,
You can disable comments for your page by following these steps: * Edit the document's access rights (go to your page, scroll over "Edit" -> click "Access Rights") * Click on the Users radio button * Click on the Comment checkbox for Unregistered Users (first row) twice until you see a red Deny icon
