BTW, that brings another question for me but I'll open another topic ... 2013/6/25 Jeremie BOUSQUET <[email protected]>
Hi,
As far as I know, mailman "obscures" email addresses (for example replace '@' by ' at ') to prevent spamming, but does not completely hide them. There might be an option to remove sender headers, but it may not be at user level, but mailing-list manager level. So email addresses are considered "public" between mailing-list members which could be ok - this is somewhat broken by the archive (pipermail) that does not need any login to display the email adresses, as you noticed. From here [1] it seems the archive could be made private to members ... But I didn't find the correct option, that would make the archive public BUT hide email addresses.
BR, Jeremie

I would like to raise a concern...I recently noticed that my "hidden" email address is completely visible in the "pipermail"
For example, open this link and look at the top, you can clearly see my email address. http://lists.xwiki.org/pipermail/devs/2012-June/051428.html
I can see the email address from everybody, and I think this is not the way this is supposed to work.
How can I make my email address truely hidden? (also in the "pipermail"?)
