Hi, I tried to rename an existing xwiki installation by: - renaming the tomcat folder to "mywiki" - renaming the database to "mywiki" - editing hibernate.cfg.xml to point to the new database Now, all I am getting is the following error: javax.servlet.ServletException: Error number 3 in 0: Could not initialize main XWiki context Wrapped Exception: Error number 3201 in 3: Exception while saving document XWiki.XWikiPreferences Wrapped Exception: Could not create a DBCP pool org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.processException(RequestProcessor.java:516) org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.processActionPerform(RequestProcessor.java:423) org.apache.struts.action.RequestProcessor.process(RequestProcessor.java:226) org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet.process(ActionServlet.java:1164) org.apache.struts.action.ActionServlet.doGet(ActionServlet.java:397) javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:689) javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(HttpServlet.java:802) com.xpn.xwiki.web.SetCharacterEncodingFilter.doFilter(SetCharacterEncodingFilter.java:127) What does this mean? Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Cheers, Matheus 2005/7/15, Ludovic Dubost <[email protected]>:

Hi all, I am new to XWiki but already find it the best wiki around, even compared to big ones such as MediaWiki and MoinMoin, which I have run before. Congrats!
Well I have a couple quick questions: - Is there any support (or plans) for XWiki farming? Such as MediaWiki's feature to use a unique database with prefixed tables?
XWiki supports farming with multiple databases for each wiki.. Now the farming needs a little work to setup using some XWiki classes and objects.. A start of a documentation is here: http://www.xwiki.com/xwiki/bin/view/Doc/HowToSetupVirtualWikis
- Is it possible to change a XWiki's name (the folder under webapps) after it is installed? How?
It should work.. just rename the war or the tomcat directory
- I have messed with access rights and I find it powerful and complex, but the interface is ankward to use. Also, in some circumstances, I had to restart Tomcat to make access rights for new users work correctly. Is that possible?
Restart might have an effect on groups. It can't have an effect on anything else than groups.. There might still be some issues with caches of group which we need to fix. We will work in redoing the interface for rights as well as user and group management.
- What is the correct way to remove a group? Couldn't find that in the docs.
Delete the group XWiki page
Ludovic
Thank you very much!
Matheus
