Hi John, not sure about the SVN part, however XWiki does have an export mechanism. Basically if you install XWiki on your computer (a .exe is available on the downloag page on XWiki.org), you will be able to work offline to a certain extent. To do so you will need to export the XAR from your online XWiki instanve (Administration -> Export) and import it on your local XWiki (Administration -> Import) . You can choose to export your wiki with or without keeping history and user names. A drawback is that exporting a full XWiki from internet can take some time over a slow connexion. Once you imported your wiki locally you can use it freely and then import it back on your online instance. The important point here is that your new XAR will crush existing pages with the same name, effectively deleting anybody else changes to a page. This is not a problem on a XWiki used only by you, but can (and wil probably be) on a shared wiki. Note however that pages created between the date of your export and your subsequent import will remain since they are not contained in your XAR. You can also customize your import to include only the files you want to bring back. A research project is currently being conducted to make XWiki fully usable offline. More info about Import and Export here: http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/ImportExport Not quite sure this is exactly what you were looking for though... Guillaume On 29/05/07, John R. Since xwiki has an SVN backend, does this mean that I can download the wiki site to my laptop and then work on it offline?
Also, can I do standard svn commands to upload new pages, attachments, etc.?
Thx....JRC
