Hi Gerard, I thought I had already answered you about this this morning... I'll repeat my suggestion: try tweaking the HBM file for PostGreSQL. Alternatively try using a different database (like MYSQL) if you can as I believe the problem is why PostGreSQL. Our consideration using xwiki for our institute's wiki site is in danger because of this error! Currently I'm unable to continue configuring it properly.
I use XWiki version 1.0.3342 in combination with PostgreSQL-8.2, TomCat 5.5 and jdk-6u2!
The strange thing is that it has been working properly at the beginning. Setting up the layout, preferences, and saving it all wasn't a problem!
