I tried with single quotes (apostrophes), with double quotes and unquoted. no difference. Both browsers in their CSS inspectors have their own ideas when to render quotes and when not. Would i put them in CSS or not does not count for them. And frankly, since value of "monospace" alias is already "Courier New" for MSIE, it could not cause difference even if parse error happened The only thing needed was not to use 20+ years old bitmap font.
