Hi Jamie, I just tested on XE 1.5 on myxwiki.org and it seems to work fine. Are you sure the Register right shows the red icon for Unregistered users in the global rights (when you administrate your whole wiki, not in space rights) ? As of this latest XE release, I don't appear to be able to disable user registration. I've got the red "don't" sign in the "Register" checkbox on a bunch of the Rights pages, but it still shows and allows user registration.
