I had installed using this -> xwiki-enterprise-installer-windows-1.2-milestone-1.exe Thank you anyway, Vincent, I've found the culprit. The files were indeed tampered with inadvertently. :) vmassol wrote:

Re HSQLDB yes, you can also very simply copy the $XWIKINSTALLDIR/ database/ directory to the new computer too but the import/export will work between any databases and should be preferred.
Sorry for 'turning a blind eye', Vincent, thank you for pointing it out. But I do not understand - if you meant copying C:/xwiki/.../database, it did not work. There was a problem with the script (which I replaced). I do not know what $XWIKINSTALLDIR means otherwise (Is it velocity language ?). thank you for being so patient with me.
Copying database/ works fine. I've done it countless times. Of course if you tampered with the files inside database/ then you're on your own. Database data should never be modified directly.
$XWIKINSTALLDIR is where you installed XE (that's if you've used the standalone installation). Anyway if you found the database/ directory then you know where the HSQLDB files are stored.
Thanks -Vincent
