[xwiki-users] Speed on loading xwiki site
Hi, We have set-up an xwiki instance on our server and for some reason the speed of loading the pages is extremely slow. What could be the reason for that? Did we miss some configuration? regards, Mark http://www.sourcekibitzer.org/Bio.ext?sp=l8 -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Speed-on-loading-xwiki-site-tf4961763.html#a14211548 Sent from the XWiki- Users mailing list archive at Nabble.com.

Well is there must be something amiss since it's fast usually. Hard to know without knowing more of your setup. Some questions: 1) what database? 2) how many documents in your db? 3) what do you mean by slow? like 1 second or 10 seconds? 4) is it a special page or all pages that are slow? 5) have you enabled the statistics module? (off by default) Here's a page that could also help: http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Performances Thanks -Vincent
Hi Vincent,

I also think so :)

1) what database?
Postgres
2) how many documents in your db?
just a few. so this should not be a problem
3) what do you mean by slow? like 1 second or 10 seconds?
you can check at www.sourcekibitzer.com
4) is it a special page or all pages that are slow?
all pages actually are slow.
5) have you enabled the statistics module? (off by default)
it should be default, as we didn't enable this by hand. thank you, Mark

I've checked with Firebug and it appears that resources are slow to load for some reason. Maybe check your web server config. Thanks -Vincent

My 5 cents. Do you see the same problems with non-XWiki content? I was curious to try online ping utility, like http://just-ping.com/index.php?vh=www.sourcekibitzer.com&s=ping%21 The last line was Shanghai, China Packets lost (30%) 337.2 339.1 340.8 Pavel -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Mark Kofman Sent: Friday, December 07, 2007 2:37 PM To: XWiki Users Subject: Re: [xwiki-users] Speed on loading xwiki site Hi Vincent,
