[xwiki-users] Xwiki offline documentation
Hi! I'm a new xwiki user and have a scenario where I'm offline (not connected to the internet) and need to see the xwiki documentation in order to install, extend, create plugins, etc.. Is there any way to export the xwiki documentation pages (on-line machine) so that I can import them in another xwiki instance (offline machine)? You ask one of the admins to give you an export of the (interesting parts of the) site, which you can later import in an XWiki instance on your computer 3. Hi! I will start with the third option because Eclipse is the IDE which I currently use to develop software in Java. I tried to use a site downloader (wget), but it starts to download a lot of things and I just want the documentation part. Thanks for help, Marcelo

Just as a sidenote, you can configure wget to download only pages from a sub-range, like /xwiki/bin/view/UserGuide But using XEclipse is better for us, as it is a very new tool which wasn't tested much, so a user's opinion is most welcome. However, don't expect too much from it, as it is just a very early release with basic features only. How can I discover the xml rpc address, user and password for the site www.xwiki.org so that I can try to access the documentation pages from inside eclipse? As far I understood the xwiki eclipse plug-in, this information is mandatory in order to connect, right? Thanks, Marcelo

Hi mriss, Please follow the instructions on http://www.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Code/XEclipseExtension on getting started with XEclipse plugin. Connection url should be something like, http://<host>/xwiki/xmlrpc/confluence But the problem is, off-line mode is not implemented in XEclipse yet.
