I'm glad you're interested in this project.
I have a strong backround in computer skills like java,c and web development related skills : html, css, javascript , jquery , sql , php. I have knowlwdge in matlab too.
You have to prove it ;) . You should start by downloading XWiki Exterprise and play with it, especially with the document versioning. Next you should set up your work environment. See http://dev.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome . If you have contributed to other open source projects in the past you should give us some links. The best way to prove your skills is to fix a bug though, related to document versioning in this case. See jira.xwiki.org .
Please tell me if i need knowledge in other fields too for this project , as i like this idea and it's use in future aspects.
Java for the back-end and JavaScript+HTML+CSS for the front-end should be enough. You should take a look at Prototype.js because this the main JavaScript library used in XWiki. We don't use JQuery. Thanks, Marius
