I`m thinking of the action the user is doing; so, how would it sound better in the user's mind: - Make a new blog post or - Post a new (blog entry / entry in the blog)
Think of the common expression "log entry". A Blog, as earlier stated is a Web Log so, the obvious choice for me would be "blog entry".
I`m +1 for "blog entry" and the action of posting.
+1 for *posting* a new *entry*, which also allow us to potentially refer actions (to post) and items (entries) in the same sentence, while keeping consistency and not repeating same word (posting a new post would not sound good). Since *there* already is an existing terminology and really, the users would understand it no matter how we'd put it (for them there is no such a difference between post and entry and article), I think we could close this one quite fast. Happy coding, Anca Luca

What is the best term:

Answer: http://www.meryl.net/2007/04/blog-vs-postentry/
To summarize one *posts* *entries* in their blog and entries can be *articles*, polls, bookmarks, etc.
post = the act of adding an entry entry = the blog item being added article = one type of blog entry content
Thus I propose to use "blog entry".
Wordpress lets users write new posts. Thus I'd go for "blog post". "Blog entry" doesn't sound as intuitive to me.

WDYT?
