[xwiki-users] Less resource-intensive plataform for XWiki?

I have XWiki 1.1-milestone-2.3619 available in my business. I use it as a repository for engineering technical information and legislation and as a Blog. My XWiki installation is the default one with the jetty container. I use Vista x64 SP1. The "xwiki_db.script" file is now over 3,5GB (mostly because I have many attachments) and I have set JAVA_OPTS=-Xmx2512m to be able to load XWiki. The process java.exe occupies 2,6GB of RAM memory. I have bought additional RAM reaching a total of 6GB to be able to use the computer while XWiki is loaded. XWiki as become an important part of my business and all my co-workers love to use it, so the information keeps growing. I will most certainly reach the maximum RAM (8GB) of my computer and will have to make large hardware investments if I am to continue using XWiki. Is there a less resource-intensive way for Xwiki to store attachments or a container more suitable for the way I use XWiki? Thank you for your reply. [xwiki-users] Navigation Panel Displays in Different Location of the Page

Hello, I am experiencing some layout issues. I am using the right navigation panel. In the Blog WebHome Page, the right navigation panel is properly visible for some pages. However, for some pages, the right navigation panel either appears at the bottom or at the upper left corner of the page. I am having this problem only on the Blog WebHome page. How can I solve this issue? Thank you very much for your time and help! Hande

[xwiki-users] Lucene and substring search

Hi, I have noticed that in the Lucene Search substrings are not found. E.g. The word 'Wallpapers' is on a page. When I search for 'wallpaper', 0 is found. The same when I search for 'wall'. When I search for 'wall*' or 'wallpaper*', the page is found. But this is not very inuitive for the user. The user would never think about using an asterisk. Can this behavior be changed? [xwiki-users] Comment field in XE 1.6 for page display

Hi All, [Nabble told me my last post didn't get sent, so reposting, apologize if it caused a duplication] There are few tabs for comments/attachment etc in the new layout for XE 1.6 which is great. However, can I suggest we do not show the details by default until users click? (which like version 1.5). The reason is that currently every page made an authentication call. When we are using LDAP for authentication this may take 1-2 seconds. Since the comment field is opened by default, it's another 2 seconds delay for until the page is completely loaded. Reducing this 2 seconds means 40-50% faster per page which is very significance. [xwiki-users] You cannot create a personnal space since your not registered on this wiki!

Hi all, I use XWS version 1.1 or 1.2M with the same problem since few days :-( There is no problem for locals users (even or simple user), but when users auth via LDAP (openldap), when they connect, there is an error : You cannot create a personnal space since your not registered on this wiki! whereas they are connected ... I didn't find any clues to solve the problem and never see this error in the archives ... [xwiki-users] XSL Plugin shows error 4001 in 4

Hello , I have downloaded the XSL Plugin and configured the xwiki.cfg. Then I have created a new xwiki document and attached the xsl: rss2xhtml.xsl . After that I have put the command $xwiki.xslURITransformer.cachedTransformURI( SOURCEID,XSLID,900); SOURCEID is the URL of my rss and XSLID is the URL of my xsl,like http://localhost:8080/xwiki/bin/download/Main/XSLDokument/rss2xhtml.xsl he shows the following error: Error number 4001 in 4: Error while parsing velocity page Main.XSLDokument Wrapped Exception: Failed to evaluate content with id XSLDokument Please help! [xwiki-users] How to get "real" content of wiki page in plugin Api?

Hello, I'm trying to work with the content of wiki page in my plugin Api. I can access the content through method getContent() called with XWikiDocument. However I have an object added to the page and I'm using #includeForm("XWiki.PersonClassSheet") and this is the problem, because with method getContent() I get literally "#includeForm("XWiki.PersonClassSheet")"... Is there any way to get exactly what I see on the page?
