[xwiki-users] Invalid URL after a $xwiki.getURL() + deconnection

Hi list, I have a really weird bug which is quite annoying and I don't find any solution to it : I want to edit a page in inline mode. I have a form to select the page to edit with a button. I use the $xwiki.getURL() method to get the right URL. When i select my page and click on the edit button, I have an invalid URL error and i am deconnected. What is weird is that if I reconnect and actualize the page I can access it. The second weird thing is that I use exactly the same method to edit other pages form other forms in the same first page and I do not have the problem. I am quite lost with this issue. I tried to recreate the URL as a string but I have the same problem. I am thinking maybe this is a known bug in xwiki. If not maybe i am missing something somewhere. [xwiki-users] Section Editing for heading3, 4, etc in syntax 1.0

Hello, <br><br>Is there a way to configure XWiki to allow section editing for Heading 3, 4 and above? I see that it allows by default only heading 1 and 2 to be editing via the section editing mechanism. [xwiki-users] setLinksQueryString forces albatross skin

I'm trying to use $context.setLinksQueryString to set a contant skin accross navigation (which it is adding the query string just fine) Whenever I use the setLinksQueryString, my skin loads, then the page flashes and I have a bunch of albatross css. Firebug reports that it is coming from screenlayout.css. But using the net tab in firebug, I see that screenlayout.css is never requested... odd that. I haven't used the albatross skin for anything, all of my skins are using toucan as the base skin, and all the css file requests listed in firebug are calling either my own skins, or toucan css skins. [xwiki-users] Scheduler not running/not initiating in correct context?

Scheduled tasks seem to run; but cannot work with documents in the wiki. This used to work well in 1.4, but for some reason it does not work in 1.7.2. One of the tasks is to open a document and send an email based on a notification date inside the document's main class object. The code works perfectly when run in a wiki page: I've dropped everything except for getting document count based on a query and if count is more than 1 sending an email to me. Naturally this is not the objective - just simplified for testing. I have nine virtual xwiki's running on the same server, the scheduled task is running on the main instance (documents located on main instance as well). Nothing except for xwiki engine update (and xar import) has changed. Hi I got the same problem after migrating from 1.8rc2 to 1.8 The problem was that i missed one file to import in the new XAR (In the Xwiki space, a sheet if i remember good). What i would suggest is to follow the instructions on the upgrade xwiki page to know wich file you must not select when importing. Its just when I went to the 'instructions' link for the generic Workspaces installer the page didnt have any info to work from so then somewhere on the site I think I read that the only difference for between the Enterprise install and Workspaces was to change the final XAR. i.e. I misinterpreted the docs here: http://workspaces.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/#HInstallingandrunnin… "Installing and running the WAR distribution This installation type requires you have a Servlet Container and a relational database installed and configured. You will need to download xwiki-workspaces war distribution from the Download page. The first steps to setting up your installation are similar to installing XWiki Enterprise, so please refer its installation guide. Only, in the concluding step, you will have to install XWiki Workspaces Wiki XAR, instead of the XWiki Enterprise one." Even re-reading it now - its easy to make the mistake again because one is referred to the Enterprise install guide and if one is not paying complete attention one misses the fact that one needs to apply the Enterprise install rules to Workspace. Anyway, now that I understand it, I'll try things the XWiki expected way round. One other question, since clearly you're very familiar with Xwiki. I would like to add xwiki-product-chronopolys-installer-generic-1.0.jar but havent tried to do this yet. If you are familiar with Chronopolys - what install route would you recommend - Enterprise or Workspaces first? From what I understand you are trying to do something not very orthodox : installing XWiki Workspaces on top of an existing XWiki Enterprise. This is doable, but not documented. If you check http://workspaces.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/#HInstallingandrunnin… you will see that XWS comes with its own WAR file (since it needs some extra templates/plugins/config to work correctly). Note that XWS does embed XWiki Enterprise, so if you install the XWS war, you have a working XE too, and all the work is done for you. The only thing that affects XWiki Enterprise when installing XWS are a couple of velocity templates that XWS overrides (but you need them to have XWS work properly)

[xwiki-users] empty line bug in new WYSIWYG editor?

Hi, now that I'm testing the new WYSIWYG editor in XW 1.8, I notice a problem: Each time I open the editor for an existing page, and save ("Save & View", "Save & Continue") without any change, I get extra empty lines in my page. Seems to be a bug.e Jens

Hi, and thank you, Marius, Vincent and hel. Your answers helped a lot. Now I have realized that XW 1.8 was launched and have changed to this version. It seems to solve my problem. By the way: "xwiki.rendering.syntax" was only a typo in my post, not in my configuration ;-) Jens
