[xwiki-users] Changed upload_maxsize but still can't attach larger than 10 MB

Hello, I've gone to the XWikipreferences, then edit > Class. Here's what is set: name: upload_maxsize Pretty Name: Maximum Upload Size x No Number: 53 Number Type: long Size: 200 Error: XWiki has a default limit of around 10Mb for attached files. This limit can be changed using the upload_maxsize parameter. Check the FAQ for more information. Any ideas?

[xwiki-users] Java Heap Space, Out of memory exception

Hi All I am having a problem uploading a xar file. I get "Java Heap Space, Out of memory exception" (full message below). I've downloaded the latest version of XWiki for windows xp (beginner's version with HSQLDB & Jetty). In my start_xwiki.bat I have set "set JAVA_OPTS=-Xmx1600m -Xms512m". 1.6gb is the maximum as xwiki would not start if I go over this. I don't think I have CATALINA.bat any ware so I din not find where to set CATALINA_OPTS. I have changed file upload size to 133MB by going to http://localhost:8080/xwiki/bin/edit/XWiki/XWikiPreferences?editor=objec t and changing Maximum Upload Size:. The .xar file is 90MB downloaded as backup from http://patternlanguagenetwork.myxwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/WebHome. I do not know what version this runs on since it is on one of the xwiki farm things :-). I have Win XP with 3.5gb memory available. Has anyone had this error recently? [xwiki-users] Treeview in a panel

Hi guys, I found a code snippet on xwiki.org, that does a TreeNav feature, but actually, this is not what I want. I would like to have the Treeview, as on /XWiki/Treeview inside a panel. As a matter of fact, it seems the code for Treeview does only work, when there is nothing else on that page, so adding just a line of text in the beginning of the XWiki/Treeview page seems to make the "+"-signs to open the tree-structure unusable. Probably for the same reason, I did not manage yet, to get it inside a panel. Do you have some ideas, what I could do to get what I want? Thanx, Sebastian

[xwiki-users] preventing registration on workspaces under xem

Hi, I'm using workspaces 1.2M1 as a virtual xwiki under xem 1.3. I have configured the XWikiServerClass object under XWikiServerServername to have the visibility property set to 'Private'. When I look at XWikiPreferences in the virtual xwiki, there are XWikiGlobalRights objects configured Deny, Groups:,Levels:Register,Users:XWikiGuest, and Deny, Groups:XWikiAllGroup, Levels: edit, register, Users: The registration form still appears on the login page, and upon filling in the fields and submitting, registration is successful. I need to not allow registration by anyone except Admin. Thanks, Dan Svoboda

[xwiki-users] Deny Public registration Wiki Workspaces

I really love the look and use of the xwiki products, but the lack of documentation and broken functionality is very frustrating. After finally getting smtp authorisation working in Enterprize I find the email which is generated is not forming URLs properly - grrr. So now I'm back to exploring Workspaces milestone 1.2 and I have found that setting Public Registration to Allow or Deny makes no difference - registration is just a matter of supplying a name and email address and you're in. No admin approval required. This is not acceptable for an admin setup intended for staff only. Can anyone explain to me how this might be fixed please? [xwiki-users] Removing comments, attachments, etc from certain pages

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to remove the comments, attachments, history and information tabs from certain pages. Perhaps just by inserting some css or javascript on the pages where I don't want these things to show. Also, I was hoping to reduce the font size of the "Create New Post" text in the blog (I'm using the toucan skin if that helps). Which file would I look in do to this? Any help here would be greatly appreciated. [xwiki-users] 'Link that opens in a new page' not working

Hello again, I'm trying to create a link on a page that leads the user to the 'User Guide' provided by XWiki.org. Following the syntax guide found at http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/XWikiSyntax#HLinks http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Main/XWikiSyntax#HLinks for a 'Link that opens in a new page', for the XWiki Syntax 1.0, I have created a link like this: [User Guide>_http://enterprise.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/UserGuide] However, when I click on this link: 1) it does not open a new window or tab 2) it transfers me to the 'homepage' (Main.WebHome) of my XWiki site, instead of the actual link destination Can anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Such a silly question, I know, but any help would be appreciated. Hi, After Vincent made my mouth water today at the Jazoon, I wanted to try XWiki but I could get the FAQTutorial to work with the 1.9 release (xwiki-enterprise-installer-generic-1.9-standard.jar). Specifically: After I enter the two strings "FAQs" and "FAQ" in the text fields, I get this text in the editor: ## replace Main with the Space where you want your documents to be created ## replace the default parent with the one of your choice ## Save this template using the 'Save' button #set( $class = $doc.name.substring(0,$doc.name.indexOf("Class"))) #set($defaultparent = "XWiki.${class}Class") #set($defaultweb = "Main") #includeForm("XWiki.ClassSheet") This looks good. [xwiki-users] Customizing export

Another question, we've been trying to change the pdf export layout: http://platform.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/AdminGuide/Configuration#HCustomiz… Created the Class, and a new pdf export definition. Now changing the style works but when we try to change xhtmlxsl or fopxsl nothing happens. Is this a know bug or is there somthing one should know ....
