Hi guys, I found a code snippet on xwiki.org, that does a TreeNav feature, but actually, this is not what I want. I would like to have the Treeview, as on /XWiki/Treeview inside a panel. As a matter of fact, it seems the code for Treeview does only work, when there is nothing else on that page, so adding just a line of text in the beginning of the XWiki/Treeview page seems to make the "+"-signs to open the tree-structure unusable. Probably for the same reason, I did not manage yet, to get it inside a panel. Do you have some ideas, what I could do to get what I want? Thanx, Sebastian

[xwiki-users] preventing registration on workspaces under xem

Hi, I'm using workspaces 1.2M1 as a virtual xwiki under xem 1.3. I have configured the XWikiServerClass object under XWikiServerServername to have the visibility property set to 'Private'. When I look at XWikiPreferences in the virtual xwiki, there are XWikiGlobalRights objects configured Deny, Groups:,Levels:Register,Users:XWikiGuest, and Deny, Groups:XWikiAllGroup, Levels: edit, register, Users: The registration form still appears on the login page, and upon filling in the fields and submitting, registration is successful. I need to not allow registration by anyone except Admin. Thanks, Dan Svoboda

Navigating to the Main.LuceneSearch page brings up the following error? Failed to execute macro: velocity org.xwiki.rendering.macro.MacroExecutionException: Failed to evaluate Velocity Macro for content [$xwiki.jsfx.use("uicomponents/search/search.js", true)## $xwiki.ssfx.use("uicomponents/search/search.css", true)## The page has worked, but what can be wrong now. [xwiki-users] Deny Public registration Wiki Workspaces

I really love the look and use of the xwiki products, but the lack of documentation and broken functionality is very frustrating. After finally getting smtp authorisation working in Enterprize I find the email which is generated is not forming URLs properly - grrr. So now I'm back to exploring Workspaces milestone 1.2 and I have found that setting Public Registration to Allow or Deny makes no difference - registration is just a matter of supplying a name and email address and you're in. No admin approval required. This is not acceptable for an admin setup intended for staff only. Can anyone explain to me how this might be fixed please? [xwiki-users] profile in a pop up

Hi everyone, I'm working on a XEM platform 2.2.1 and I need to display the page of the profile in a pop-up. I know it's possible because I have this pop-up at the adress: http://mydomain/xwiki/bin/admin/XWiki/XWikiPreferences?section=Users, there's a table with the list of all my users, and I can edit them by clickink on an icon, the edition is in a pop-up. Problem is I can't find out where's the URL of this pop-up, because the code of this page is based on the javascript: var ta = new XWiki.widgets.LiveTable("$url", "userstable", displayUsers); I've read the documentation on XWiki.widgets.LiveTanle at his adress: http://svn.xwiki.org/svnroot/xwiki/platform/web/trunk/standard/src/main/web… http://svn.xwiki.org/svnroot/xwiki/platform/web/trunk/standard/src/main/web… but I haven't found what I was looking for: the part of code to display the popup. [xwiki-users] xEclipse login problem

Hello there, I asked the Admin of my system to create a space in xWiki, into which I can log in via my username & pswd through a browser. I cannot create a connection to the same space via xEclipse. Any idea about how to cope with it? [xwiki-users] xwiki Enterprise login problem

Almost every content is user-login protected, and when I try to login, I always come back to the login screen ... embarassing ... :) A long time I haven't touched to the xwiki or Tomcat configuration ... [xwiki-users] I can't attach files to content

I've recently migrated from the standalone version to the war version, in the hopes of making the use of the wiki more permanent. I'm running xwiki-2.2.4 in tomcat-6.0.24 with MySQL 5.1. [xwiki-users] Performance improvement

Hi, I noticed that the responce time of my wiki was poor. Analyzing with firebug shows the most time is spend for loading prototype.js. A download of 130KB consists of 12KB page and the rest was js and css. I was about to throw prototype.js away. However, I found a better solution. When using Jetty, there is a default servlet which is responsible for loading static content (e.g. prototype.js) You can configure a cache control which in the end provides that prototype.js (and co) were loaded only once. That improves the latency to show up a page to 20% of the original time. To do the same, add the following to your web.xml <servlet> <servlet-name>default</servlet-name> <servlet-class>org.mortbay.jetty.servlet.DefaultServlet</servlet-class> <init-param> <param-name>cacheControl</param-name> <param-value>max-age=90000,public</param-value> </init-param> </servlet> This works for Jetty 6, for Jetty 7 you have to change mortbay by eclipse!
