I have recently upgraded from 3.5 to 5.5. The upgrade went fine however after logging in I accidentally hit the cancel button instead of the skip. I now want to rerun the Distribution Wizard but I cannot figure out how to re-trigger it. Can this be done?

[xwiki-users] Integrate bpmn-js into xWiki

Hello! I'm trying to integrate bpmn-js into my xWiki application. I istalled bpmn-js via bower into xWiki resource folder and then i created a page with this content: When the page loads (and the javascript libs are imported) I get some errors about prototype.js and requirejs (http://pastie.org/9946255). [xwiki-users] RESTful API to create a new object of custom class?

Hi, Is it possible to create a new object of a custom class using the RESTful API? In fact, I can't seem to even get the basic "create object" method to work, even without the class. [xwiki-users] The future of the Spaces macro in the context of Nested Spaces/Documents

Hi guys, The wiki home page displays, by default, the list of spaces that exist in the wiki (hidden or not, depending on the user profile settings). This is done using the http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Spaces+Macro . As we have started to work on adding support for nested spaces/documents, we need to review the purpose of this macro. Is it still relevant to display a list of spaces when there is a tree hierarchy? It only makes sense if you want to display just the list of direct children of a given node. I see the following options: (1) Display the list of top level nodes (space/document) on the wiki home page. No tree. The rationale is that loading the tree (even if done lazy) is more expensive that displaying a static list of links. For this we can extend the Spaces Macro with a parameter to specify the parent node. When this parameter is not specified the macro will list the top level nodes. (In the context of nested documents we could introduce a new macro Document List instead) (2) Display the tree hierarchy on the wiki home page, using http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Document+Tree+Macro .Of course, the tree will be lazy loaded, and only the top level nodes are displayed initially. If we do this then we can probably deprecate the Spaces Macro and advice the users to use the Document Tree Macro instead. WDYT? Thanks, Marius

[xwiki-users] Upgrading xWiki

Hi! Im trying to upgrade from xwiki 4.2 to 7. I already installed xwiki 7 and postgres in another server for testing purposes since Im new with xwiki. I adjusted the settings and started postgres. Xwiki 7 is working fine. Although I think its a bit slow (I installed in a virtual server, maybe thats it?). My main question is how to import all the old content to the new xwiki? I have a postgres dump of 11GB from the old xwiki. Should I use it in the new xwiki? If so, how? Is it the best way considering how far the versions are? [xwiki-users] Can one copy/paste images directly into the page editor?

Can one copy/paste images directly into the page editor? I am testing with the xwiki.org sandbox. It seemed to work, ie the image appeared in the wysiwyg editor. But when I try to view it it loses all content and reports an html parse error. Hmmm...even when I try to upload from my local disk, as an attached image, it reports "An error occurred while uploading your file" even though the path is valid.
