[xwiki-users] Problems deleting Blog-space

Caroline, the adress users(a)xwiki.org is perfectly fine. I got no idea who Bruno Neves is, but my best guess is that there's something wrong with your email-account / mailserver - you might want to talk to your mail-admin to get things sorted out or simply get an GMail-account. Also, I see that you reply to a mailing-list-digest. You might want to simply write a mail to users(a)xwiki.org, enter a meaningful subject, and there you go. Alternativly, simply reply to this mail and make sure, that the receiver is not rc46fi(a)googlemail.com (that's me) but users(a)xwiki.org. If a simple reply just puts my email-adress into the receiver-field, you might want to try out the "reply-all" function of your email-program and remove all receivers but users(a)xwiki.org. Coming back to your question: Did you run the velocity-macro mentioned in the link I sent you? If this macro doesn't work, I'm out of any ideas. hi gregor, i'm sorry to have posted it twice but i don't understand each time i send an email to "users(a)wiki.org" i get an email back : /"Sorry. [xwiki-users] *Xwiki issues to delete "blog" space & renaming a space*

Hello, I have installed Xwiki for my company, and wanted to disable the "blog". It seemed that I cannot do that so I decided to *delete the blog space. * I have read that in order to delete a whole space I have to delete all files in it so I did it, but the blog space is still there, empty with a "?" shown at the end. I have searched through the internet and found someone had the same problem as me. The answer of the admin was : "The reason is that there are some hidden documents in some spaces (like in the Blog space for example). We need to fix this. In the meantime, one solution (which is a pain I agree) is to go to that hidden page (you can use Ctrl + M to navigate) and delete it from there." So I wanted to delete those hidden files but I can't find them :S Can someone explain me how to show the hidden files and delete them ? I can't understand where to go and use Ctrl+M to navigate :S I have an other issue : *I tried to rename a space but didn't succeed *:S I have searched through the internet adn found this piece of information : "If you want to rename a full space, see the Space Rename Snippet.." [xwiki-users] Migration from 1.4 to 2.3

I have a wiki farm I want to upgrade to the curreent release. I've searched the forum. I've read the applicable release notes. I'm not able to find any info on whether migration is supported from a version 1.X to 2.X. Can I move straight from 1.4 to 2.3 or do I need to apply some intermediate steps? The one area that confuses me with Xwiki is the relationships between the wiki manager and the enterprise wiki. I'm missing the big picture. [xwiki-users] Can't delete attachment

Hello, I am having a problem with one specific page of my XWIKI installation. There are 4 attachments in that page. When trying to add any other one, I am getting the following error: WARN internal.DefaultWikiService - Failed to get attachment: FormationServeur.doc not found. So I decided that I would delete the existing document, delete the page and recreate it. However, when I try to delete the existing document, I get this error and the document is not deleted: WARN .XWikiHibernateAttachmentStore - Error loading attachment content when deleting attachment TPOOn-ProjectTeamMeetingAgenda-2010-05-11.doc of doc Telephony Provisioning Optimisation.PIT Meetings and Minutes I found a previous conversation in December 2009 saying that it was a bug in version 2.1. However, I am using XWiki Enterprise 2.3.28602. Please let me know what could have caused this bug and how I can clean that page up and redo it. Hi, I have a this question: is there a way to make annotation feature work in a virtual wiki environment? Suppose new xem 2.3 installation for the farm (and in the main wiki the annotations work!) and a number of wikis with xe 2.3 xar files imported. If the answer is yes, please let me know how. If it is no, I think it should be pointed out somewhere in the feature list of 2.3 version, or in the release notes. Instead, if it is supposed to work, but it doesn't, there is a bug. Hello, I am trying to set up XWiki on my company's intranet, and have stumbled into some problems with the configuration steps. Initially I'm setting things up locally on my Windows XP desktop to test it out and find out what I need to configure to get it running for production. Hopefully we will be able to install this on a linux server more easily. Hi In our organisation we are looking to implement Xwiki, my choice. A discussion came up about manging how information gets stored and linking it. A discussion came up about managing the information written to the wiki leading to the use of ontologies to determine what data the business has. What I want to know is what does Xwiki or the wider community have to handle Ontologies and semantic web planning and organisation. One of the ideas being discussed is the idea of having the ontologies as part of the Wiki to allow people to determine where and how to link information when creating documents. I found a German site on semantic web that seems to have Xwiki in its sights but I didn't locate the actual pieces to install, although it does look good in the screen shots. http://www.corporate-semantic-web.de/technologies.html Any assistance is appreciated. 1)When I delete a attachment , I can't see anything in the Document Index's deleted attachment tag. The url is like "/bin/view/Main/AllDocs?view=deletedAttachments" This happens to the deleted document tag too.And when I want to rollback to previous version of a page,the deleted attachment isn't recoverd.So please tell me how to handle with this problem. 2)Some scripts doesn't work for IE,but use Firefox it can work,such as adding a user to a group. Hi, I had a similar problem (users Digest Vol 34, Issue 20,8, May 10, 2010). In my case it appears to be a problem in de Space.WebPreferences page: when removing the parent link to the Space.WebHome page (which can be done safely), the problem vapours instantaneously :-) It would be good to have an escape mechanism for invalid properties. Hi, I imported a MS Office file which contains a table of content. When I tried to export it (both in pdf and rtf format), I had an error (see below). After some tests, I realized that it's due to anchor tags in titles like *= {{id name="Sommaire|outline"}}{{/id}} Sommaire =*. Hi there, me again. I do have a small Velocity-Script displaying all pages within a space. Hello, Recently I have tried installing XWord plug-in on MS Offfice 2007. After the installation, XWord tab does not appear. List of currently installed software on my PC is attached ( http://n2.nabble.com/file/n5068886/InstalledSoftware.txt InstalledSoftware.txt ). One additional note is that I had MS Office 2003 Web Components installed on my first attempt. But then I've removed it and re-installed XWord once again with the same result. Having looked carefully once again on the installation procedure I've noticed a list of dependencies with PIA (Microsoft Office Primary Interoperability Assemblies) which was not in the list of installed software. So I have installed it manually, re-enabled XWord plug-in and the XWord tab has finally appeared. I believe this error might be due to PIA install pack structure specifics. It does not actually install the app - it only extracts another installer which should be run separately. Hope this info will help someone someday. [xwiki-users] User directory

Hi, I would like to create a directory of users (with name, phone and email) who are in a specific group but I'm not comfortable with query. Is there anybody who have already work on a thing like this? To avoid temporally the problem, I thought add a tag on the concerned users, like this we can have a list of the user and go on the profile page, but XWiki has to be blacklisted, so it's doesn't work for usual user. [xwiki-users] How to disable caching for attachments?

Hey all, We've been having browser caching problems for attachments where users have had to wait hours before their data would be updated in xwiki.For IE, for example, killing all instances of IE, restarting the browser, and then visiting the attachment is a solution to this problem. We basically need a way to add a Cache-Control header when the server responds to the attachment link. Is there a way to prevent caching of the URL for attachments in the web browser by changing the config files, or by changing something in the xwiki code? Thanks, Felix
