Hi
Google returns a couple of hits about XWiki and survey applications, such as this one:
http://old.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Dev/Polls
However I see no mention of a Survey application on the new XWiki pages.
Is there an application available for the newest XWiki platform?
Thanks,
Marc Lijour
Hi,
We're just verifying XWiki Enterprise as a base to a corporate InfoCenter.
Virtual Wikis are really fine to separate global infos from division infos.
To make some infos viewable offline we want to use the PDF export function
with hierarchical output via macro.
The problem seems to be that pictures (.jpg,...) are exported in a big
scale - even exports from the site www.xwiki.org create large images.
Is it possible to keep the size of pictures "as is" at PDF export - or
scale them down to page-width?
It would be nice to start each page of the hierarchy tree on a new page...
Is the developer team working on any PDF related point?
Best regards,

Hello list,
I now finally did a very clean installation of Xwiki Entreprise 1.1
latest and still get the scripts for the invitation and validation
mails empty... this is annoying since I do not know what should be
the velocity variables there for the activation code etc...
I tried googling... did not find it.
And I tried using the entreprise xwiki documentation but this seems
still todo even though I am never sure which site I am crawling
through in this documentation (I seem to be jumping from one site to
the other... but see the documentation thread.!).

PS: searching Nable didn't help me either... I wonder if the content

Hi,
I've installed XEM 1.0-M2 from a fresh install (new database...)
and imported the
xwiki-enterprise-manager-wiki-administrator-1.0-M2.xarfile. In the
import list, I can see that there is an 'Admin' user, but I
cannot log on with the password 'admin' (lower case 'a'). Is the Admin
password different with XEM ? What am I doing wrong ?

Hi all,
I would like to have a moderation functionality in XWiki for all the
post made.
Kindly suggest on how to build this moderation (workflow) into the Xwiki

Hello!
When it happens:
//
Vector bobjs = doc.getObjects("XWiki.CalendarEvent");
//
//(doc is a XWikiDocument)
bobjs contains even deleted objects. How could I get only not deleted
objects?
thanks in advance!

Hello, again!
When I'm in 'Objects edition mode' I can see all objects this way:
XWiki.CalendarEvent[0]: Test 1
XWiki.CalendarEvent[1]: Test 2
XWiki.CalendarEvent[2]: Test 3
...
How could I get the index if I have the object?
Is the any other way of getting a determined object besides the index?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I know that I can not enable Database (the mechanism by default) and
LDAP authentication in a wiki at same time. But if I have configured
XWiki in virtual mode, can I enable LDAP authentication in any wikis
and Database authentication in others?
Thank you.

Hello all...
I have been trying to edit my S5 template.
I have been able to remove the already existing logo.gif and substitute
my picture in the class editor but it doesn't come up. I wanted to add an
image as a header as well which should've come up when ?xpage=s5b is added.
I changed s5b.vm and s5bheader.vm and tried adding a new css. Are there
any other checkpoints which I might have missed out ? Please advise.

Hi
I am new to xwiki. I follow the document and found out there is no link like 'Administration' on top right corner.
My basic question is how can I login as admin and change setting such as password and valid a newly register user?
the version I use is 1.2 rc1.
Thank you very much.

Hello List,
has there been any progress on that ?
I can attest that, at least out of the box, expanding the XWiki
webapp into the ROOT directory gives rather disatrous effects (i.e.
still loads of paths that are /xwiki/....).
It would be nice to have a rewrite engine but this has to work to
ways, i.e. if I drag-and-drop a link produced by XWiki it should the
short URL that one wishes and not one that is also compatible (but,
e.g., is very long).
thanks for hints. It is most probable by now that we shall build the
intergeo platform on xwiki and curriki...

Hi all,
Working with 1.2-rc-1.6216 I'm failing to remove the default Register
right for Unregistered Users by using the new Rights Management UI.
Please, how could I edit the involved object without using the UI?
It seems that the new RC2 is closer, but I would need to remove this
option from a new virtual xwiki ASAP.
Thanks for your help,
Ricardo

Hi!
Working with 1.2-rc-1.6216.
After setting up a Multi Lingual xwiki, *fr* and *en* are set as the
allowed languages and *fr* as the default one. But when we create new
pages, *en *keeps appearing as Default Language in the Document
Information menu. Document translation offers* fr*, but keeps saying
that we are editing the original document (*en*).
Please, am I misunderstanding something here? Could you figure out what
I am missing or this could be a bug?
Thanks for your help,
Ricardo

I think there was a bug causing this in an older XWiki release. Can you
upgrade to a newer version? What version are you currently using?

Hi Sergiu,
Thank you for the answer. I thought i could set them automatically... Anyway, regarding the opportunity to use some velocity scripts to do it, I've found that if i open a page with WYSIWYG editor i lost all velocity scripts in it. Is there a way to solve this issue (avoiding to use only the wiki editor?
Thanks

Rights aren't inherited from the parent.
You can either use space rights, template rights, or use some velocity
scripts to set the rights.

Hi,
the Print/Preview funtions is not working in our environment (1.1.2.5797).
PDF and RTF export works fine.
When we call the Preview I get the following error:
Error number 4001 in 4: Error while parsing velocity page Wrapped Exception:

threw exception java.lang.NullPointerException @ [17,26]
Anyone else also having this error, how can we get rid of it?

I added the Tag Cloud and InlineTagEdition Snippets as panels, but the "\|"
as a tag separator does not work under 1.2-milestone-2.5917.
Tags are properly displayed, but all "\|" are removed in the data field. If
I attempt to update the tags by typing something like "a\|b\|c" only one tag
is applied "a b c".
Same thing happens in the page edit, though...

1) Can I setup the service to use my own script for sending email

b) Failing that, how does one setup the email server settings,
including login details? I'd prefer to set this up at the xwiki.cfg
level if possible, as this will then map across to all virtual servers.
2) Will this send multiple emails (one per watch), or a single combined
email per day?

Hi all (more for the dev's I guess)
When you setup a user as Admin to a space, they are treated as full
admin - so if you're protecting stats/toolbars/etc to admin users, they
end up seeing those things they're not meant to.
Shouldn't someone with admin rights to a space (not global admin) be
assigned admin rights only within that space?
