Hi
I want to create two categories and for each categorie, we want to create
several articles or pages.
Is space the same thing as categorie ? If yes, how can I show only two
spaces in the main page ? Right now I have the space macro and it shows all
the spaces like blog , main, panels, estc.
thanks
Hi All,
I have a question related with the use of the "." in the name of the
documents. In my company all the employers are creating several new
pages each day. Some of them, create the pages using the character "." .
This generate the malformed name of the document because when XWiki
found a ".", creates a new space.
For example:
The name of the page shouldn't be:
Release 30.2.1 Installer Application -> This generate the following
link: Release 30\.2\.1 Installer Application -> the link is wrong and
will appear in the list of the spaces with the character "?" that
indicates that the document hasn't been created. To fix this I have to
rename the link for something like this:
Release 30_2_1 Installer Application or Release 30 2 1 Installer
Application.
Sometimes I need to delete this type of documents directly from the
database.
I'm wondering if someone knows a plugin to delete the "." or the
solution that I have to implement here is to avoid the use of the
character "." in the name of the pages.
Thanks in advance,
Carolina Ramirez.

Dear,
I would like to set up an intranet for my team in order to share information
between the members. We are working for a governmental agency in Belgium
(BIPT).
Username : yannick_dewilde
Server name : users.myxwiki.org
Could you host my wiki? Because it would be very useful.
Kind regards,
Yannick
Hi,
I would like to install a wiki to share knowledge between some fellows in our Department of paediatric surgery. We are 12 MDs. It would be nice, if you could start a xwiki for us, perhaps in german?

Dear All,
I have a quick question concerning the upgrade procedure for Xwiki on a
Solaris 5.10 SPARC/Oracle 10.2.0.3/Websphere technology stack.
We have cloned our standing Xwiki production environment (v1.7.14685)
and exported the Oracle database dump to a test machine for evaluating
newer versions of Xwiki (of the 2.* respectively 3.* series).
hibernate.cfg.xml, web.xml xwiki.cfg have been patched according to our
requirements (security, authentication method, hibernate etc).
At last, we have deployed the new Xwiki artifact (as an ear archive) to
Websphere.
At the moment, we are facing two major issues with the upgraded Xwiki
installation on our test server.
(1) For Xwiki <= 2.2.6 the resulting archive can be deployed to
Websphere and the application can in fact be accessed and used.
The main drawback is that the user management features are not
accessible anymore, i.e. we cannot create new groups or assign users to
Xwiki user groups anymore. Current group members aren't displayed
anymore. The members list is only displayed a blank text field.
When I try to display the list of group members in MS IE, the following
JavaScript error is displayed:
Line: 366
Char: 8
Error: 'ASSTable' is undefined
Code: 0
...
This problem seems to be a variant of the one described on
http://www.pubbs.net/200905/xwiki/106358-xwiki-users-no-users-and-groups
.html.
I tried to patch usersandgroups.js (both from stable releases and the
svn trunk) and also purged the browser cache but this didn't resolve our
problem.
I'd greatly appreciate if someone among the Xwiki users or developers
here was able to shed some light on this problem.
(2) When I try to deploy the current Xwiki version 3.0 (or even anything
> version 2.2.6) of Xwiki, the following error is thrown in Websphere:
"Component manager has not been initialized before lookup"
Judging from similar earlier error reports, this issue might be related
to Xwiki on Websphere. (And no, XWikiServletContextListener is already
contained in the web.xml configuration file.)
For specific details please refer to my previous error report on
http://www.mail-archive.com/users@xwiki.org/msg15230.html
Thanks in advance for your help regarding these two issues.

I've modified the bulletin board app by adding an edit link to
BBCode.TopicClassSheet (between Quote and Delete) that links to
$doc.getURL("edit",
"editor=object&classname=BBCode.PostClass&object=$item.number").
This gives me the ability to edit a post by linking to the object editor for
that post. But the object editor isn't very user friendly.
I noticed towards the top of BBCode.TopicClassSheet, the context.action is
checked to see if its "inline". This determines if a new thread is being
created, and does what is necessary to create it.
I'd like to change the edit link to point back to BBCode.TopicClassSheet but
provide a different custom action. This way I could check for that action
(say for instance "postEdit") and instead of providing the post as is,
provide a form that lets me edit the object.
My problem is, I don't know how to create a link to do this. I've tried some
of my guesses, but it didn't work.
Can someone tell me how to (within BBCode.TopicClassSheet) create a link to
BBCode.TopicClassSheet but with a different custom action that would allow me
to change the post from just a diplay to a form that allows the object to be
edited?
Hope that question makes sense.
Thanks,
Lenny
Hello,
Is it possible to move pages around within a space, or only from one
space to another?
I followed the FAQ tutorial, and for the most part it is working fine.
However under "faq.question" we are seeing "faq.emptyvalue".
What did I do wrong?
Thanks for your assistance.
Robb
Hello,
I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy their long weekend.
I still have problems with my "Menu" Panel.
In order to have a starting point, I took the code from
"http://extensions.xwiki.org/xwiki/bin/view/Extension/Structured+Document+In…"
and pasted it into a new panel. Then I made some changes. Currently it
looks like this:
#panelheader('Menu')
#macro(getChildrenOf, $docName, $level)
#set($level = $level + '*')
#foreach($name in $xwiki.searchDocuments('where doc.parent = ? or
doc.parent = ? order by doc.name', [$docName, "xwiki:$docName"]))
$level [[$name]]
#getChildrenOf($name, $level)
#end
#set($level = $level.substring(0,$mathtool.add($level.length(),-1)))
#end
#set ($hiddenSpaces = ["Admin", "AnnotationCode", "ColorThemes",
"Invitation", "Panels", "Scheduler", "Stats", "XWiki"])
#foreach($space in $xwiki.spaces)
#if (!$hiddenSpaces.contains($space))
#set($WebHome = $space + ".WebHome")
[$space]
* [${space}.WebHome]
#getChildrenOf($WebHome, '*')
#end
#end
#panelfooter()
Unfortunally the result is more then devastating. The only thing which
is working is the indentation.
Especially the links are weird. They all have a "]" in the end.
I would really appreciate it if someone could take a few minutes to
look over my mistakes and help me setting up a Menu-Panel.
It would also be interesting how you set up your navigation? Only
trough links? Maybe someone has a script which he/she is willing to
share with me?
Thanks a lot,
Stephanie
