Yes and that troubles me since I can't reproduce this...
Could you download XWiki Enterprise 1.1.2 standalone installation,
make sure it works there, without making a single change?
I guess you've also tried several search queries. I've tried with
"wiki" when I tried it earlier today.

All I can think of is that you've removed view rights for the XWiki
space. Try resetting the rights as they were initially and see if it
helps.
I've tested it on both XE 1.2M2 and XE 1.1.2 (fresh installs) and it
works fine so I think it's something you must have done to your wiki
that's causing the issue.

I've just retested the search and it works fine for me.
By default the search for non admins will exclude the following by default: XWiki, Main, Admin and Panels
spaces.
It also exclude the WebPreferences doc.
Thinking about it I don't remember why it excludes the Main
space...
