Hello! Have you forgot to fill the username/password in the mysql part, or have you deleted the properties only for the screenshot? (connection.username and connection.password) And don't pay attention about the way that you have to access mysql. It's using sockets, so can check if the server is listening well, and on what port, with the command "netstat -antup|grep mysql", should be ok.
