As I mentioned in the original post, the error was caused during the upload,
not the import. I never got to the point where I could click on the XAR
file. I went back down to 1.2 and was able to get it to work.
However, after downgrading, I still can't add users for some reason and get
no error messages.
MySQL 4.1.22 is pretty stable and 1.2 upload worked, so I guess it is an
issue with 1.3M2.

1) The error you're showing below is not caused by the XAR import.
It's another error generated by the Lucene indexer. We'll need to
understand how this one happens but first let's fix your problem. Are
you sure you've clicked on the XAR file after you've imported it in
XWiki. You need to select it and then click on the "import" button.
2) You're using MySQL4.1 which is an old version now. I'm not 100%
sure it's fully supported by XWiki. If you have the possibility I'd
recommend using a newer version of MySQL.

I'm a first time installer, running 1.3M2 and trying to upload the
XAR file.
I'm getting the following error in the xwiki.log file (which, oddly,
is in
the tomcat base dir instead of the tomcat/logs dir).
Also, when I try and create users, the form submits, but it doesn't
appear
to be saving because no users are listed after 'save'.
I'm running on linux, MySQL 4.1 and JDK 1.6. The DB was created
successfully and I was able to edit the front page.
Any ideas? Should I try 1.2 instead?
