When I run the snippet on my xwiki farm, the link is invalid:
http://<server>/bin/create/Space//bin/edit/Space/Doc?template=Sapce.MyTemplate
The trick I found (to keep it in the archive):

"template=Space.MyTemplate"))
{{html}}<a href="$myURL">Create Space Doc</a>{{/html}}
