I also use xwiki through apache proxy. Mention bug can be easily found but is not the only one. When I started to investigate and fix all broken HTML bugs, I got tired and downgraded Blog to previously used 1.8, because too many of "one-liner" 2.1.1 Blog constructs produced incorrect HTML through the proxy.

We can join efforts, I you wish, to try to make it working.
