If you're writing a component then I advise you to use the
SkinExtension component ( see
https://github.com/xwiki/xwiki-platform/blob/master/xwiki-platform-core/xwi…
). Take a look at how the Gallery macro is using it:

. Use the method that takes a map of parameters if you want to specify
the defer parameter.
