You can write a macro that contains the velocity
script and then include
the macro in the wiki-page. That will work for sure, I had a kind of
similar problem and I solved it like that.

Rights aren't inherited from the parent.
You can either use space rights, template rights, or use some velocity
scripts to set the rights.
