Make sure to add in the space, otherwise it won't know what group you're referring to: $user.isUserInGroup("XWikiAdminGroup") should read $user.isUserInGroup("XWiki.XWikiAdminGroup"). Note that there is an easier way to get admin rights though; by using "hasAdminRights()".
